Bubba's 1st Halloween

The week started off with a trip to the doctor's office, Bubba. You were coughing and sounded seal like, we thought you might have croup and were wanted to see if that ear infection had finally cleared up. As we were driving to the doctor's office you fell asleep in the car. You were less than thrilled to wake up at the doctor's office.

Not sure about this pony riding thing.

They had us strip you down so they could see how much you weighed. While you were on the scale you decided it would be fun to pee. You didn't pee just once, you peed three times all over the nurse, the scale and yourself. You were quite upset at this point.

I asked the nurse how often see gets peed on and she said she had never been peed on before and she has two boys at home. I guess there is a first for everything.

The doctor who saw you was very kind. She let us know that your ear infection had cleared up, it only took a month and two rounds of antibiotics. And she put us on croup watch. We lucked out and your cold didn't turn into croup.

You are such a curious little boy.

Daddy also got his braces off. We are so happy for him! His teeth look a lot better. We went out to lunch to celebrate and you found the fries on Daddy's plate. I think you love fries as much as I do.

Doesn't he look nice with straight teeth?

We celebrated your first Halloween and celebrate we did. We started the day off with a trip to the library for story time. It was so fun to see all of the little kids and babies dressed up for Halloween.

Then we headed to Daddy's work to go trick-or-treating. You We scored on the candy! They handed out the good stuff. We enjoyed watching you grab a piece of candy and then put it back in the bowl before grabbing a new piece of candy at the next desk (you liked to trade your candies). Everyone thought you were the cutest little pumpkin!

We spent that evening with friends. We ate food and then hit up the neighborhood for some more candy. Don't worry, we didn't keep all the candy we got, we gave a good portion of it away.

Overall, I'd say it was a pretty good week! We are so incredibly blessed to have you in our lives little one. You sure make one cute little pumpkin!

And we have daffodils in November...

Haunted Hay Ride

This week was a rough one for all of us, we have all been sick. Daddy stayed home sick from work for three days. Daddy and I took turns sleeping, this illness makes us incredibly tired. We are praying that we get feeling better soon.

Playing "tickle" with Mommy.

When your uncle leaves his underwear at your house, this is what happens.

We did do one thing that was fun though, we went on a haunted hayride. Don't worry, you did great Buddy! You even made friends with a little girl dressed as a sparkly unicorn, you kept smiling at her, it was super cute to watch!

A tired little bug.

As far as development goes, you have started walking along furniture- tables, chests, nightstands, etc. You have also figured out how to walk while pushing a chair. You are one smart little boy!

We discovered you love pickles!

Our street. Love this view!

Nana & Papa Come To Visit

We had company this weekend! Papa, Nana, Uncle Brendan, Uncle Nathan and Uncle Russell came to visit us! It was so good to see everyone! Everyone loved holding and playing with you! We wish they lived closer, so they could visit us more often!

Silly Papa

In other news, we made another trip to urgent care. After some intense screaming we decided it was time to take you in. That ear infection you have been battling since the beginning of the month is hanging on. Thankfully the doctor prescribed some more antibiotics, hopefully they can knock this thing out and get you feeling better soon!

Playing at the library

I'm not sure how you can sleep like this, it does not look comfortable.

Playing.

I love this photo and the Cheerios on your bum!

Bubba At 11 Months

Each milestone you reach leaves me in shock. I can't believe how fast you are growing up and how quickly time is passing us by. In just one short month you will be year old and somehow that doesn't even seem possible. It seems like it was just yesterday that you were born.

You are such a sweet little boy and we just love you. Your smile and laughter light up the room. Your dimples and big bright eyes melt peoples' hearts. You are such a good helper, you help me shut the doors (dishwasher, dryer, cupboards, closet, etc) and you help Daddy turn the lights on and off. Each day you help us feed the chickens and collect the eggs. When I'm loading the dishwasher, you are often found unloading the dirty dishes onto the floor. You are such a good eater and will eat just about anything. You love to each vegetables, fruit, bread, Cheerios, cheese, beans, homemade chili and freeze dried yogurt. You are not a fan of the baby food dinners and I don't blame you, they taste like cardboard. Sometimes you share you Cheerios with Daddy, it is sweet.

You love going on walks each day and visiting the neighbor's dog. You have gotten really fast at crawling and like to get into whatever you can. You are getting better at pulling yourself up and standing when you have something to hold onto.

You love to cuddle at night and I just love that! Stay sweet, my sweet little boy!
